Still, something compelled me to do more, and after so many years of providing care for the body, I turned to the soul. I attended one year at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, focusing on counseling psychology with an emphasis on Depth Psychology. I then realized that with my nursing background I could provide additional help for people and decided to complete a post-master's certification program at California State University, Fresno to become a board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). The advantage to being a PMHNP is that I can provide clients with medication which is extremely helpful for many people.
I embrace a new career providing care for men, women, children and adolescents in their journey through life. Although I have a wealth of experience providing care for women, I thoroughly enjoy working with men, children and adolescents as well.
